Account & Saving

Start without logging in

/editor opens without an account — import a file and use every editing tool. Login is only required when you save.

Before saving — local state

  • Imported files and edits live only in browser memory. A refresh or closed tab loses them (the browser warns you once before closing)
  • Some tabs (Style, Connection, AI, Dimension, Placement…) need an account item and show "available after saving"

The first save

Pressing save creates a new item in your account and moves you to its permanent editing URL. From then on every tab is available.

Saving and version history

  • Saving is manual (Ctrl+S or the save button) — there is no autosave (exception: camera colliders save immediately as you edit them)
  • A dot (●) on the save button marks unsaved changes
  • Every save that modifies splats records a version automatically (the last 5 splat files). The version button restores any of them — or the original file. Saves that changed only settings are listed as "splat unchanged" and do not use up a slot
  • The version button appears only in the bottom toolbar of Splat edit mode. It is not shown in Normal, Mesh or Style mode, so switch to Splat edit in the top bar first when you want to restore

Edit history

The clock icon in the top bar opens the item's edit history. One entry is recorded per save, so you can trace when something changed, save by save. It is available only for saved account items; a local item that has never been saved has no history.

  • Each entry shows the time, the editing screen (advanced editor / style editing) and the action (scene apply and save · style save · restore previous version · restore original, and so on)
  • Expand an entry to see the changed areas (camera · transform · color · lighting · placement · timeline · splat · mesh · style) and the list of changed settings with their before → after values
  • Filters at the top narrow the list by editing screen or action, and Load more fetches older entries
Edit history is for seeing what changed. To go back, use the version button above (splat data) or Ctrl+Z (unsaved edits).

Access

  • Items can only be edited by their owner (or accounts under the same company code). Opening someone else's item shows an access-denied screen
  • Items still being processed (PROCESSING) open read-only style: editing and saving stay disabled until processing finishes
